A hooded witch peers into a floating silver cup, a alluring mix of contemplative possibility. Her robe of rich green, symbolic of hope and balance, tell of her longing as she looks for answers in the spell being cast.
 
This is a stylised piece which blends both watercolour and oil paint, two mediums rarely combined. Layers of watercolour have been built up with defined edges in pencil before sealing everything to be painted over with oils in the flesh tones. Lastly, the witch's jewellery is finished off with gold foil.
